Arun Maira sahab ne ek dum ghanti baja di hai — aur ghanti sunni chahiye humein bhi. Unka background dekho: Planning Commission ke ex-member, left-of-center economic thinker, aur unki kitaab Reimagining India's Economy: The Road to a More Equitable Society — title mein hi equity central hai.

Matlab unka ideological lens hai — labour-first, state-intervention-heavy, market-skeptic. Ye galat nahi hai. Lekin ye ek perspective hai. Isko absolute truth maan lena — ye intellectual mistake hogi.

Toh aaj hum do kaam karenge. Pehle Maira sahab ki poori baat sunenge, imaandari se. Phir government ka perspective samjhenge, utni hi imaandari se. Aur phir dekhenge ki sach kahan baithta hai.

Chai thodi strong banao... kyunki topic bhi strong hai.

Scene 1: Kahani Shuru Kahan Se Hoti Hai?

Dekho, ek baat samajh lo pehle. Jab bhi kisi desh mein youth ka gussa sadkon pe aata hai — chahe woh Arab Spring ho, chahe Sri Lanka ka Aragalaya ho, chahe Bangladesh ka recent uprising ho, ya apne yahan Gen Z ka frustration — root cause hamesha ek hi hota hai:

"Padhai kar li, degree le li, ab kaam kahan hai bhai?"

Ye sirf ek naara nahi hai. Ye ek economic reality hai jo political explosion mein convert ho jati hai.

Ab Arun Maira sahab jo keh rahe hain woh ye hai — education system theek karne se problem solve nahi hogi. Kyunki asli problem education mein nahi hai. Asli problem economy ki basic structure mein hai. Aur jab tak humari economy ka DNA nahi badlega, tab tak youth degree lekar bhatakti rahegi.

Chai ka pehla sip lo... ab asli baat shuru karte hain.

Scene 2: Do Bhai — India Aur China

Duniya mein sirf do desh hain jinki population 1 billion se upar hai — India aur China. Matlab dono ke paas ek jaisi challenge hai:

"Itne saare log hain... inko productive kaam kaise dein?"

Ab yahan pe ek dilchasp comparison aata hai. Pichhle 30 saal mein China ke per capita income ne 8x growth ki. India ke per capita income ne... uska bas 1/8th. Matlab ek hi race mein Chinese bhai 8 gun tez daudta gaya, aur hum piche reh gaye.

Kyun? Kyunki China ne ek simple baat samjhi jo hum aaj tak samajh nahi paye hain:

"Agar log kamayenge nahi, to kharcha kahan se karenge? Aur agar kharcha nahi hoga, to economy grow kaise karegi?"

Ye ek circular logic hai. Employment → income → consumption → demand → production → aur employment. Ye chakra chalta rahe to economy chalti rahe. Bandh ho gaya to sab jam.
