Dekho, India ne target rakha hai 500 GW non-fossil capacity by 2030. Iska matlab solar, wind, hydro, nuclear — sab milake 500 GW. Ab isme solar ka hissa sabse bada hai, roughly 280+ GW target. Aur aaj ki date pe humne kaafi progress bhi kiya hai — installed solar capacity 160 GW se upar ja chuki hai, jo 2013-14 ke 2.82 GW se dekha jaaye toh lagbhag sattavan guna jump hai.
But ek problem thi jo dheere-dheere sar utha rahi thi.
Solar development India mein kahan concentrated hai? Rajasthan aur Gujarat. Kyun? Simple — wahan sasti zameen milti hai bade-bade tracts mein, aur solar radiation bhi high hai. Bhadla Solar Park (Rajasthan), Pavagada (Karnataka), Khavda (Gujarat) — sab wahi belt mein hain jahan desert-type land available hai.
